Terra Terra

2026

Giacomo Alberico, born in Pescara in 1994, lives and works in Milan as a freelance photographer specializing in experimental music events, performance art, and fashion. His artistic research explores the relationship between humans and urban space, walking through places to capture their traces and transformations through fiction and memory.

The project 'Terra Terra' begins with the idea that “there can’t really be anything interesting to photograph in Chieti.” He started exploring his hometown without preconceptions, observing the everyday life of a city deeply affected by the 2006–2009 economic crisis. Through photography, he collected signs, architectures, and details that portray the Italian province as filtered through his personal memory of these places. The project investigates the dialogue between tradition and change, between familiar sites and new presences trying to blend in.
